How do I disconnect Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT or another agent from BugTape?

Open the BugTape console, go to Team or Settings → Agents, and remove the agent or revoke its token. Its access token and refresh token stop working at once.

How do I delete my BugTape account?

Email hi@bugtape.ai from your account address, or call POST /v1/auth/data-delete/request. BugTape emails a single-use link that is valid for 24 hours; opening it deletes your account.

Is deleted data recoverable?

No. Deleting an issue, project, organization or account removes it from BugTape's database straight away and it cannot be restored from the console.

Delete your data

You can delete any issue, project or organization yourself in the BugTape console, and disconnect any agent or connected app in one click. Deleting your account takes one emailed confirmation. Deletion is permanent.

Disconnect an agent or connected app

Every agent or app you sign in to BugTape with (Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, the BugTape CLI) gets its own agent token.

In the console: open Team and remove the agent, or open Settings → Agents and choose Revoke token. The access token stops working on its next request, and its refresh token can no longer get a new one.
From the app: disconnecting BugTape inside the app calls our revocation endpoint (POST https://app.bugtape.ai/oauth/revoke), which ends that connection the same way.
Capture keys: to stop a site sending reports, open Settings → API keys and choose Revoke key.

Delete an issue

Open the issue and delete it. BugTape removes the issue with its events, attachments, comments, reporters, watchers and status history. If the issue has other reports grouped into it, split them first; BugTape refuses to delete a grouped issue so nothing is removed by surprise.

Delete a project

An organization admin can delete a project from the project menu (Delete project). Every issue in the project is deleted with it. If you might want it back, archive the project instead: archiving hides it and stops its capture keys accepting reports, and nothing is deleted.

Delete an organization

An organization admin can delete an organization from the organization menu (Delete organization). Its projects and issues are deleted with it. BugTape will not delete your last organization from the console, so you are never left without one; to remove that too, delete your account (below) and ask us to remove the organization.

BugTape emails you a single-use link that is valid for 24 hours.
Open the link to confirm. Your user record is deleted with your sign-in sessions, team memberships, notifications and watches. Your comments are deleted, and API keys you created are revoked.

Issues your sites reported belong to your organization, not to you, so they stay for your teammates. If you were the only member of an organization, tell us and we delete that organization and everything in it.

Before you delete anything, you can download a copy of your data with POST /v1/auth/data-export.

What BugTape keeps afterwards

Deleted issues, projects, organizations and accounts are removed from the BugTape database at once and cannot be restored from the console.
Replay and timeline events are purged after your plan's retention window even if you delete nothing: 7 days on Free and 30 days on Pro.
Request traces and error logs are kept for up to 90 days for security and reliability, then removed.
