How-to guide · chapter 10 of 10
Team, plans and billing
Invite teammates, pick a plan, credits, tax and spending limits.
Invite your team
Open Team and invite people by email. They get a link to set up their account and join your workspace.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everything, including billing and deleting projects |
| Manager | Invite people, manage projects, keys and integrations |
| Member | Work issues: assign, resolve, comment |
| Tester | Report bugs and follow them |
| Viewer | Read only |
Every member can see every project in the workspace. To keep two audiences apart, use two workspaces.
Plans
Free is the only limited plan: 1 project, 3 members, 100 new issues a month and 7 days of history. Free includes 150 credits a month, and your coding agent can use MCP on Free.
- Prepaid credits: $10 buys 2,000 credits. One credit captures one new issue, so $10 covers 2,000 new issues, or 1,000 agent reads of a bug. Any balance gives the workspace everything in Pro. Credits never expire.
- Pro: $29 a month, with 10,000 credits included each month.
Open Billing (in the sidebar, below Settings) to see your plan, what used credits, and to buy credits or upgrade. Credits belong to one workspace. When you create a new workspace, BugTape asks which plan it should be on.
What uses credits
Each new issue captured (1 credit), each AI summary and, on Free and Prepaid credits, each bug your agent reads (2 credits). Billing lists the cost of each and what used credits this month.
A repeat report of an issue you already have costs no credits. When credits run out, capture continues, and AI analysis and paid agent reads pause until you buy credits or the month resets. The monthly new-issue allowance is a separate limit (100 on Free, 5,000 on Pro and Prepaid credits): when a workspace reaches it, BugTape refuses reports until the 1st of next month. On Free, buying credits raises the allowance to 5,000.
Paying, tax and spending limits
You pay in Stripe's checkout, which opens inside BugTape. Prices are in US dollars; checkout shows your local currency and adds any sales tax, VAT or GST for your country. Link, Stripe's checkout, is the seller of record: it collects the tax and sends your receipt.
BugTape never charges you on its own. Buy another pack when Billing says your credits are running low. To cap spending, set a monthly limit: any credit pack that would go over it is refused. A limit of $0 means no limit.
If you saved a card with Stripe Link before, checkout offers it after a one-time code.
That is the guide
You now have BugTape installed, users reporting, the inbox under control and your agent fixing bugs. The docs cover every option in detail.
