# Create your workspace

You need a free account, a workspace and one project before anything else. This takes about a minute.

## Sign up

Go to [app.bugtape.ai/console/register](https://app.bugtape.ai/console/register) and enter your name, email, company name and a password. If someone sent you an invite link, open that link instead: it fills in the invite code, and your workspace starts with the credits it carries.

After signup you land in **Setup**, which walks you through the install.

## Workspaces and projects

- A **workspace** (also called an organization) is your team. Everyone in it can see every project in it.
- A **project** is one app or site: your web shop, your iOS app, your API. Each project has its own key.
- Your first project is called **Default**. Rename it in the workspace menu at the top left.

If you look after several clients, give each client its own workspace. The workspace menu switches between them, and the Portfolio page shows them side by side.

## Which plan you need

| Prepaid credits | $10 for 2,000 credits | 1 credit = 1 new issue. Everything in Pro while you have credits. Credits never expire. |
| Pro | $29 a month | Unlimited projects, 10 members, 5,000 new issues a month, 30 days of history, MCP for your coding agent, 10,000 credits a month |

Free is the only limited plan. Any balance of bought credits puts a workspace on Pro. Credits belong to one workspace, so a second workspace needs its own. See [Team, plans and billing](/guide/team-and-billing/) for details.
